Quetta: The protest of the Landlord Action Committee outside the Balochistan Assembly against loadshedding has been going on for 6 days.

The Landlords Action Committee says that KISCO is providing barely 3 hours of electricity to agricultural feeds in 24 hours, while the authorities had promised to provide 6 hours of electricity to the zamindars.

The protestors demanded that all tube wells in Balochistan should be switched to solar system. The government should give subsidy on fertilizer and electricity to the landlords. If our demands are not accepted, all national highways of Balochistan will be closed.

On the other hand, announced and unannounced electricity loadshedding continues in various areas of Balochistan including the provincial capital Quetta. According to Kesco sources, electricity load shedding is being done for 6 to 8 hours in Quetta, while load shedding is being done for 10 to 12 hours in the surrounding areas.
