Lahore / Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that the private sector can play an effective role in completely transforming agriculture.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the Pakistan Agriculture Coalition Conference 2024 at the Expo Center, he said that the growth rate of the agricultural sector, reduction in inflation, stability in the value of the rupee, increase in remittances and the boom in the stock market are signs of economic stability. Hopes of economic improvement are rising.
He said that an installment of one billion dollars from the IMF is expected to be received soon, the bumper production of rice will earn substantial foreign exchange this year. He said that the Special Investment Facilitation Council was designed to promote investment in agriculture, we need investment in farm machinery and warehousing.
Meanwhile, in the meeting with the Danish Ambassador, the Federal Minister of Finance stressed the need to promote bilateral economic relations and said that the reform measures will improve the confidence of investors and attract them to invest. On this occasion, Chief Executive A.P. M Terminals was accompanied by Danish Ambassador Keith Svendsen.
