Senior Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon presided over a high level meeting of the Transport Department

Karachi: A high-level meeting of the Transport Department was held under the chairmanship of Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, in which the provincial minister announced good news for the people of Karachi.

In the meeting, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the project of connecting Orange Line and Green Line is being implemented. A shuttle service will be started to connect Orange Line and Green Line.

Sharjeel Memon said that initially the shuttle service will be provided from the exhibition to the tower immediately after Eid. Free shuttle service will be provided from Anubhai Park to Jinnah Women College.

He said that the federal government had promised 300 buses worth 18 billion rupees under the PSDP project. Discussions will be held with the federal government for the provision of buses under the PSDP project. Red Line BRT was ignored by the caretaker government, due to which the work got delayed.

The senior provincial minister said that with the efforts of all the stakeholders, the work of Red Line BRT is going to be started again quickly. We want the work of Red Line BRT to be completed as soon as possible and to benefit the people. Sindh government is now going to work on plans to start inter-city bus service.

Sharjeel Memon said that under the inter-district transport project, 500 buses will be purchased for the convenience of the public. The work for yellow line bus service is going on fast, it is hoped that very soon people will be able to benefit from the yellow line bus service. The Sindh government will operate buses from Karachi to Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas to Hyderabad, Larkana to Sukkur, Larkana to Qamber Shahdadkot.

Transport Secretary Asad Zaman, MDSMTA Kamal Dayo, Acting CEO of Trans Karachi Saima Mohsin, officials of Red Line, Orange Line, Yellow Line, International Consultant and others participated in the meeting.
