Sindh Bar Council, Islamabad High Court Bar Association announces boycott of courts tomorrow

Sindh Bar Council and Islamabad High Court Bar Association also announced a boycott of courts yesterday.

The Sindh Bar Council said in its statement that it condemns the violence against lawyers in Lahore.

The Sindh Bar Council demanded that the government take action against those who torture lawyers.

In the declaration, the boycott of the courts was announced yesterday and it was said that if action is not taken against those who torture the lawyers, they will announce the future plan of action.

On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court Bar Association also condemned the Lahore incident and announced a complete strike on May 9.

The Islamabad High Court Bar has held that brutal police violence against lawyers falls under the category of terrorism.

President Islamabad High Court Bar Association State Ali Azad said that terrorism cases should be registered against police personnel.

He further said that Lahore High Court supports all the decisions of Bar Association, Islamabad High Court Bar stands by the side of Bar Association.
