Thailand: The body of a Thai model who had been missing for the past one year was found in a mortuary in Bahrain.
According to international media, a 31-year-old model named Kaikan Kaennakam came to Bahrain in search of a job after not finding work in Thailand, where she got a job in a restaurant.
The Thai model lived in Bahrain from 2021 to 2023 and regularly commuted to her job while her family lived in northern Thailand, sending money to her family from Bahrain.
The report said that the model was very active on social media and had told her family that she was in a relationship with a Bahraini national and was living with him.
When the model suddenly stopped posting on social media in April 2023, her family became concerned and tried to contact her daughter on phone but could not get through.
According to media reports, after several months, when the family could not get in touch with their daughter, they sought help from the Thai embassy in January this year to find their daughter.
The search for the model was ongoing by the Thai embassy and on April 18 this month, the Thai embassy informed the model’s family that the body of an unidentified Thai woman was found in a mortuary in Bahrain.
The body in the morgue in Bahrain was that of a Thai model, a tattoo on the model’s leg helped the family to identify their daughter’s body.
The medical report stated that the Thai model died of heart and lung failure following alcohol poisoning.
