The Election Commission has suspended the additional reserved seats of the assemblies

The Election Commission suspended the additional reserved seats in the assemblies, a notification of which was also issued.

According to the notification, the Election Commission suspended the membership of 77 members on additional seats.

22 elected members of the National Assembly on additional reserved seats were suspended, including 19 women and 3 minority members.

According to the notification, 25 members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elected on additional reserved seats have been suspended, including 21 women and 4 minority members.

27 members elected on additional reserved seats from the Punjab Assembly have been suspended, in which 24 women and 3 minority members have been suspended.

3 members elected on specific seats from Sindh Assembly have been suspended, including 2 women and 1 minority member.

In NA, the membership of 4 members elected from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the special seat of PML-N while 2 members of JUIF and 2 members of People’s Party have been suspended.

2 women members of People’s Party elected from Punjab and 9 women members of PML-N have been suspended, while one member each of PML-N, People’s Party and JUI have been suspended on the minority seat.

The membership of 21 women elected to the specific seat of the Muslim League-N from the Punjab Assembly, one female member each of the People’s Party, the Stability Pakistan Party and the Muslim League-Q has been suspended.

The membership of 2 members of the Muslim League-N and 1 minority member of the People’s Party has also been suspended in the Punjab Assembly.

The membership of one female member of the People’s Party and MQM was suspended from the Sindh Assembly, while the membership of a minority member of the People’s Party was also suspended.
