The final list of candidates has been released

Islamabad: The final list of candidates for the Senate elections in Punjab has been released, sixteen candidates for the Senate from Punjab are in the field.

According to the details, the Election Commission has released the final list of candidates for the Senate elections. In the final list, 16 candidates for the Senate from Punjab are in the field.

The Election Commission has declared 7 candidates final for 7 general seats, while 3 candidates are in the field for 2 technocrat seats and 4 candidates for 2 women’s seats, while 2 candidates are in the field for one minority seat from Punjab.

The Election Commission says that out of 7 general seats, the PML-N managed to get the maximum 4 seats, while Allama Raja Nasir Abbas of MWM and Hamid Khan of the Sunni Ittehad Council also won unopposed. Mehmood, Ahad Cheema won unopposed.

PML-N’s Anusha Rehman and Bushra Anjum Butt, People’s Party’s Faiza Malik and Sunni Ittehad Council’s Sanam Javed are in the field for 2 women’s seats, while PML-N’s Khalil Tahir Sindhu and Sunni Ittehad Council’s Asif Ashiq are in the field.

The Election Commission said that voting for the Senate elections will be held on April 2 in the Punjab Assembly.
