The Supreme Court declared the police investigation unsatisfactory

The Supreme Court declared the police investigation against the torture and harassment of journalists as unsatisfactory.

The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case against harassment of journalists till June and said that the final date of the next hearing will be fixed later.

During the hearing, the court declared the police investigation unsatisfactory in journalist Asad Toor and Absar Alam torture case.

On this occasion, the court also declared the police investigation in the case of torture and abduction of journalist Mutiullah Jan as unsatisfactory and ordered that competent officers should be appointed for the investigation.

The Supreme Court ordered the Islamabad Police to complete the investigation into the attack on journalists Absar Alam, Matiullah Jan and Asad Toor within 1 month.

The Supreme Court has ordered to publish the sketches of the accused in the attack in newspapers and asked that reward money be fixed for the arrest of the accused.

The Supreme Court order said that the complete CCTV video of Matiullah John’s abduction should be sent to the Punjab Forensic Lab.
