The wait for Pakistani mountaineers to climb Shesha Pangma has become long

The wait for Pakistani climbers to climb the 8027-meter high Shishapangma has become longer as the Chinese authorities have refused to issue a permit to climb Shishapangma this season.

Shahrooz Kashif, Sarbaz Ali and Naila Kayani from Pakistan were preparing in Nepal to head the Shesha Pangma.

It should be noted that 8027 meters high Sheshapangma is the 14th highest peak in the world.

Shahroz and Sarbaz have climbed 13 out of 14 peaks above 8,000 meters in the world. The two climbers only have to climb Sheshapangma to complete the 14 ‘Eight Thousand’.

So far, no Pakistani mountaineer has been able to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters. Shahroz and Sarbaz could not climb this peak due to an accident in October last year.

The Sheshapangma permit is likely to be issued by the Chinese authorities in October.

By climbing Sheshapangma, Shahroz Kashif will also become the youngest mountaineer to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters.

After not getting Sheshapangma permit, Naila Kayani will now climb Makalu in Nepal, Naila Kayani is the only Pakistani woman to climb 10 peaks above 8000 meters.
