Voting for 88 Lok Sabha seats in 13 states is underway for the second phase of general elections in India.

According to the Indian media, in the second phase, many prominent leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Hema Malini are competing in the seats.

Rahul Gandhi is contesting elections for the second time from Kerala’s Wayanad constituency, while Bollywood actress Hema Malini is contesting elections on a BJP ticket in Mathura.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has appealed to people to come out to vote and said that their vote will decide whether the next government will be of a few billionaires or of 140 crore Indians.

The elections started from April 19 will be completed in 7 phases on June 1 while the results will be announced on June 4.
