WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called chat filter

California: Instant messaging application WhatsApp has announced the launch of a new feature called ‘Chat Filters’. This feature will rank users’ chats according to different reliability.

Filters in the app are presented under three names (i.e. All, Unread and Groups) which can be seen above the chat list.

The names indicate that when the All option is pressed, all chats will be displayed while Unread will show unread chats and Groups option will show group chats and chats of sub-groups of communities.

Regarding the feature, WhatsApp says that the process of opening the app and reaching the desired chat should be quick and simple and this feature will definitely help in this, with minimum scrolling required by the user.

The company has started rolling out this feature and it will be available to all users in the next few weeks.
