A delegation of telecom companies met with FBR officials

A representative delegation of telecom companies has met the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials.

According to sources, PTA officials were also present in the meeting on the issue of blocking the mobile sims of non-tax filers.

According to the sources, the telecom companies presented a draft of constitutional and legal barriers on the banning of mobile SIMs of non-tax filers.

According to sources, the telecom operators cited additional technical and operational issues along with legal issues, but there was no assurance from the telecom operators to block SIMs.
