A woman was found living inside the signboard for 1 year

Texas: It is not unusual for homeless people to make any place their home, but a homeless woman in America took up residence inside the signboard of a local supermarket and stayed there for 1 year.

According to media reports, a homeless woman from the state of Michigan had been living in a signboard on the roof of the ‘Family Fair Supermarket’ in Deland for a year.

Surprisingly, no one noticed them for a year. The 34-year-old unidentified woman was traced when staff saw a power extension cord running into a signboard on the roof, prompting them to investigate.

As they entered the signboard, they found a woman in her small house with regular floors, a computer and a coffee maker.

The police officers were immediately informed, after which the police reached the spot and interrogated the woman. The lady told them that she has a job elsewhere but currently she has no house of her own and has been living here for about a year.

Security eventually asked the woman to leave, to which the woman complied and apologized for any inconvenience. The woman was asked to seek help from agencies providing services for the homeless, which she refused. It was decided not to take any action against the woman.
