Another world record for T20 in IPL

In another world T20 record in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Punjab Kings set the record for the biggest successful chase against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Punjab achieved the target of 262 runs for 2 wickets with 8 balls to spare, the target of more than 260 has been crossed for the first time in the history of T20 cricket.

South Africa had achieved a target of 259 against West Indies last year, in 2023 Middlesex had achieved a target of 253 against Surrey.

Only 26 times in the history of T20 cricket have 260 or more runs been scored, 7 out of 26 such totals have been made in the current IPL season.
