Crime rate in Lahore reduced by 30%, police claim

Lahore Police has said that the crime rate in the city has decreased by 30% compared to last year.
In the police report comparing March 2023 and March 2024, according to which 4894 incidents of serious crimes were reported in March 2023 compared to 3060 incidents of serious crimes in March 2024.
Last year there were 4 murders due to robbery resistance while this year there was one. The incidents of motorcycle theft were 2448 last year, which has increased to 1787 this year.
The incidents of robbery have reduced from 56 to 43 this year. Rabri incidents reduced to 894 from 1975.
According to the police report, no incident of kidnapping for ransom was reported in March this year. Incidents of motorcycle snatching also decreased from 169 to 135.
