Due to inflation, people are forced to sell their children, Peshawar High Court

Peshawar: The High Court has remarked during the hearing of the case that inflation has become so high that people are forced to sell their children.

A hearing was held on the petition filed for detailing the cases of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, in which the Additional Director FIA told the court that there are 2 inquiries against him. FIRs of 6 cases have been registered against him in DG Khan region.

NAB prosecutor told the court that there is a case of National Accountability Bureau against Ali Amin Gandapur.

Petitioner’s lawyer Arshad Ali argued that anti-corruption officials have not yet submitted their response, to which Justice Shakeel Ahmed said that anti-corruption officials are not reporting to you, the government is. When you are in government, take the opposition with you. When the opposition is in government, you should go along.

Justice Shakeel Ahmed remarked that nothing will be gained by dragging. It causes problems to people, people are affected. Saw a news that day that a person is selling his children. People are not getting electricity or gas and the prices have become so high that people are forced to sell children.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing after seeking a response from Anti-Corruption.
