Japan and Pakistan are long-standing friends, trade relations span decades, Prime Minister

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Japan and Pakistan are long-standing friends with decades of trade relations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was met by Japanese ambassador and Japanese companies and business delegation.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that the time has come for both the countries to promote trade and investment in various sectors. Together we will overcome all the problems faced by Japanese industrialists and businessmen. There is vast potential for investment in electric vehicle industry in Pakistan.

He added that Japanese companies with the best technology can take full advantage of this.

Speaking, the Japanese ambassador said that Japanese companies have started local production of hybrid vehicles in Pakistan.

The Japanese delegation said that Japanese companies are exporting from Pakistan to other countries after value addition.
