Lahore: A 9-year-old domestic worker died of mysterious burns in Millat Park, the police arrested the owner of the house.
According to Express News, 9-year-old Zainab was working at the house of a man named Salman for a few months, who was brought to the hospital today in a burnt condition, where she could not recover. The police arrested the owner of the house.
The arrested accused Salman has stated that 9-year-old Zainab was burnt due to the explosion of a cylinder in the kitchen yesterday, and she was given first aid at home.
The police say that the accused did not inform the maid’s family about the girl’s burns.
SP Iqbal Town Akhlaqullah Tarar has said that the actual facts of the girl’s death will be revealed after the post-mortem.
Meanwhile, DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran reached Millat Park where he met the parents of the deceased girl and assured them of justice.
Faisal Kamran said that further investigation is being carried out against the accused Salman, adding that action will be taken against those who exploit women and children.
