Lahore; Two robbers were killed in the police encounter, one officer was martyred and the other was injured

Lahore: Two bandits were killed in a police encounter in Baghbanpura area, while one officer was martyred and another was injured.

According to the police, an attempt was made to stop the suspicious motorcyclist, at which the robbers opened fire. Meanwhile, 2 robbers were killed in the encounter while one constable was martyred and one was injured. The robbers could not be identified.

The constable who was killed in the encounter was identified as Imran Haider while the injured constable Dildar has been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance. According to police officials, the guards on patrol signaled the suspicious persons on an unnumbered motorcycle to stop at GT Road near PSO Pump Mominpura, whereupon they started firing at the police.

As soon as the incident was reported, DIG Operations Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, SP Cantt Owais Shafiq reached the spot and ascertained the details of the incident. Later, while visiting the injured constable undergoing treatment in the hospital, he said that those who do not care about their lives in the way of duty are the crowns of our heads.
