Karachi: The Sindh High Court has ordered the investigating officers to appear in the next hearing on the petition related to running a false campaign on social media against famous actress Mehwish Hayat and Kabra Khan.
In front of a two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto, the petition of actress Mehwish Hayat and Rabia Iqbal aka Kabra Khan against Adil Farooq Raja regarding running a false campaign on social media was heard. Ordered the investigation officers to appear.
Despite the summons of the court, investigating officer Arifa Saeed and Komal did not appear, the court adjourned the hearing for 4 weeks while ordering to ensure attendance at the next hearing.
In the petition filed, the stand was taken that the YouTuber had humiliated the retired army officer by making false allegations against 4 actresses from the media industry. The honor and dignity of the actresses were hurt by false and fabricated allegations.

YouTuber Adil Farooq Raja later released an explanatory video and retracted his earlier stance. Meanwhile, the reputation of the actress along with the petitioner suffered irreparable damage.
The petition stated that FIA and PTA have been approached to remove the defamatory material but no action has been taken.
