LAHORE (Daily Pakistan Online) New digital Punjab of the new age, MoU was signed for provision of satellite internet in schools and pilot project was started – Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated pilot satellite in DPS Model Town. Sheikh Ahmed Dalmouk Al Maktoum, a member of the royal family of the United Arab Emirates, also met with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which the issues of satellite internet provision and digitization were discussed. Briefed on the program and said that the Schools Satellite Internet project is for digital access of the people of deprived areas. In the first phase, satellite internet is being provided to 5,000 schools across the country.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab is entering the new digital era. Students in remote rural and urban areas will find it easy to access satellite internet. A new era of digital transformation in education has begun in Pakistan. The Punjab government will also provide laptops to the students and satellite internet will also be provided. Digital skills will help empower the students and become a part of the digital economy. Pakistan can go on the path of development only with information and communication technology.

Speaking on this occasion, Sheikh Ahmad Dalmook Al Maktoum said that satellite internet service will be provided in schools in remote areas of Punjab. There is a need to learn modern technology and skills for the better development of young talent. Happy to be a part of satellite internet project in Punjab. Teachers and students will be able to use plug-and-play technology over the Internet. One Web is eager to continue partnering with Neom and contributing to its success.
