Pope Francis calls for ceasefire in Gaza on Easter

In his Easter address, Pope Francis has called for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Christian community around the world is celebrating Easter today, in this regard, special services were organized in the Vatican. Despite his poor health, Pope Francis attended the prayer service.

In his message on Easter, Pope Francis called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, saying that weapons cannot bring peace to the world. He said that I once again appeal to ensure the access of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the immediate release of hostages on October 7 and an immediate ceasefire in the Strip.

He said that we see so much suffering in children’s eyes. Children have forgotten to smile in these war zones. Their eyes ask us why? Why all this death? Why all this destruction? War always brings destruction.

He also emphasized on ending the tension between Ukraine and Russia.
