Protest of lawyers in Lahore in favor of demands, many people injured in fierce clashes with police

Lahore: Lawyers took out a rally from the House of Justice in favor of their demands, but they clashed with the police, as a result of which many protesters were injured, while the police arrested several lawyers.

On the call of the Lahore Bar Association, the lawyers took out a rally to the Lahore High Court against terrorism cases on lawyers and the transfer of civil courts.

When the lawyers tried to enter the High Court, the police tried to stop them by lathi charge and tear gas shelling. During this time, they had fierce clashes with the police.

The lawyers shouted slogans and pelted stones at the police. Police arrested several protesting lawyers. 7 policemen including SP Model Town Akhlaqullah Tarar were also injured in the clash.

Later, the lawyers gathered at GPO Chowk where they clashed with the police. The lawyers protested and boycotted the hearing of the cases and made the courts empty.
