There will be 2 rounds of talks between FBR and IMF today

There will be two rounds of talks between the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today.

According to sources, the first round of talks will be held in the afternoon and the second round in the evening, in which the FBR will apprise the IMF of widening the tax net.

The progress on tax collections this year and the target for the next financial year will also be discussed.

Sources say that bringing real estate and agriculture into the tax net and legal difficulties will be discussed, IMF will be taken into confidence on measures to bring businessmen into the tax net.
