Twins die after eating ice cream in India

In the Indian state of Karnataka, twins have died after eating ice cream while their mother is being treated in hospital.

According to media reports, the tragic incident took place in a village in Mandya district. After registering a case, the police started investigating the matter.

The affected woman had brought ice cream for herself and her children from the market, after eating which the condition of all three disappeared. The twins died shortly after falling ill while the woman was rushed to hospital.

According to the police, the woman is undergoing treatment at the hospital and the cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report of the twins.

The police have started searching for the person who sold the ice cream.
