A cave in Costa Rica that no creature enters survives

The Death Cave in the Central American country of Costa Rica is deadly to any creature that enters it.

Known as the Cave of Death, this place is located on a small mountain, in The Recreo Verde Tourist Complex in Venezia de San Carlos, Costa Rica.

The reason why it is called the cave of death is because of its ability to cause death to any creature that enters it.

Located on the side of Poas Volcano, La Cueva de la Moret is a two-meter-deep and three-meter-long cave that is a cozy haven for insects, birds and small animals.

But its appearance is actually a deception because as soon as a creature enters it, it is instantly killed.

But it is full of carbon monoxide, a colorless and tasteless gas that is highly toxic. To demonstrate its lethality, the local guides light a torch and place it inside the cave, but it immediately goes out because there is no oxygen at all and a lot of carbon dioxide.

No one knows where so much carbon dioxide comes from in this cave. However, the researchers say that the organic gas released from the mineral deposits here generates a lot of heat, which eliminates the presence of oxygen.
