A total of 29 billion rupees worth of wheat will be purchased, Ali Amin Gandapur

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur says that a total of 29 billion rupees worth of wheat will be purchased from farmers, wheat will be purchased at the rate of 3900 rupees per 40 kg.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited Provincial Reserve Center DI Khan. Provincial Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toro and senior officials of Food Department and District Administration were also present.

Ali Amin Gandapur formally inaugurated the wheat procurement process for the current season while the concerned authorities briefed the Chief Minister about wheat procurement and storage.

The Chief Minister said that 3 lakh metric tons of wheat will be bought from the farmers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40 thousand metric tons of wheat will be bought from the farmers of DI Khan.

Ali Amin Gandapur said that the prosperity and provision of facilities to farmers is among the priorities, concrete steps have been taken to ensure transparency and quality in wheat procurement, 12 billion has been gained by buying wheat from local farmers, wheat from local farmers Purchase will be on first come first serve basis.
