AI technology could diagnose rare disorders early, research

California: Artificial intelligence technology can identify the risk of rare diseases in patients years before traditional diagnosis, a new study has revealed.

According to media reports, a team of scientists has developed a new AI model that can identify people who are at high risk of developing rare immune system diseases.

The researchers reported on this new AI model in the journal Science Translational Medicine, in which they studied a group of 100 participants.

Of those 100 participants, the AI ​​program identified 74 people who were at highest risk for rare diseases.

Dr. Manish Butt, senior researcher and professor of pediatrics, human genetics and microbiology/immunology at the University of California, San Francisco, said the study shows that AI can aid in the early treatment of people with the disorder and potentially can improve results.
