Islamabad: An American woman converted to Islam and married a well-known polo player from Chitral.
According to Express News, American woman Claire Stephen and polo player Anwar Wali alias Moshoor got married in Islamabad. The American bride accepted Islam by first reading the kalamah, after which the nikah was taught.
Anwar Wili is the chairman of the village council Boni, the newly wedded couple will arrive in Chitral tomorrow.
The American woman had stayed with Anwar’s family for some time and returned to America.
