An officer who has corruption under his nose and does not take action is not tolerated, Shahbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described tax collection as a big challenge and said that an officer who has corruption under his nose and does not take action cannot be tolerated.

Addressing the event hosted by the competent and hardworking officers of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Shahbaz Sharif said that the target of tax collection is falling victim to corruption, fraud and greed.

He said that in the process of tax collection, there is no tolerance for an officer who has corruption under his nose and does not take action.

The Prime Minister further said that poor performing officers will not be given further chance, separating black and white as per agency reports and input from FBR.

He said that the tribunal members should either work or go home, if they work hard, India will leave the father of India behind.

Shahbaz Sharif also said that the entire nation is proud of the capable and hardworking officers of FBR, the tax-GDP gap is a big challenge for Pakistan.

He said that if a mistake has been made with honesty, it can be corrected, justice does not see whether it is black or white. Sindhi or Punjabi or Pathan? Only sees merit.

The Prime Minister said that those who do good work will be discouraged if everyone is hit with a stick without punishment and punishment. Tax cases worth 2700 billion rupees are pending in the tribunals for which the law has been made.

He said that the members of the tribunals will be respected if they work, otherwise they will go home, the sales tax of 750 billion rupees has been stolen through forgery.

Shahba Zasharif said that tax evaders were given the option to install machines themselves in the track and trace system fraud, install machines on only 2 manufacturing lines in cement factories and God bless them.

He said that it is a good thing if the FBR system works, otherwise we will have to go to the last resort.
