Bahawalpur: Two key terrorists of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the custody of the Terrorism Department (CTD) in Punjab’s Bahawalpur district were killed by their accomplices, who had planned to kill the federal minister.
According to the statement released by CTD, banned TTP terrorists Adeel alias Saifullah Khorasani and Zain alias Asadullah Khorasani were being taken to mark the weapons hidden in Bahawalpur.
The statement said that the two terrorists were arrested during the investigation of a murder from Hasilpur.
Officials said that while being taken for marking, terrorist associates ambushed and fired, killed terrorist Adeel alias Saifullah Khorasani formed a four-member outlawed TTP network.
The statement said that 4 operatives of the network were arrested a few days ago and the network of dead terrorists had planned the assassination of Federal Minister Riyaz Hussain Pirzada.
Regarding the firing incident, the statement said that the CTD team escaped unhurt during the firing, but efforts are on to arrest the terrorists who fired.
