Boxer Aamir Khan was honored with the rank of Honorary Captain by Pakistan Army

Islamabad: World famous boxer Aamir Khan was awarded the rank of Honorary Captain for one day by Pakistan Army.

Appreciating the achievements of Aamir Khan in the field of boxing, he was given the rank of honorary captain in a grand ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, boxer Aamir Khan mingled and spent time with the soldiers and officers of the Pakistan Army.

It should be noted that Aamir Khan has achieved numerous achievements in his brilliant career, he won the silver medal in the lightweight category in the 2004 Olympics at the age of 17.

After being awarded the rank of honorary captain, boxer Aamir Khan said that Pakistan Army has always played an important role in the promotion of sports, today I feel proud after receiving this honor.

He said that wearing the uniform of Pakistan Army and putting on the ranks, I feel the same joy as I felt when I became the world champion, I have always supported Pakistan Army because it is our pride.

He said that I will continue to play my role for the promotion of sports in Pakistan, Pakistani youth should participate more in sports, I intend to open more boxing academies in Pakistan and train young boxers, one day we Insha Allah will win medals in Commonwealth and Olympics.

Boxer Aamir Khan said that whenever we come to Pakistan we feel very safe because of Pakistan Army, my message to the youth is to stay focused and work hard and believe in self-confidence.

According to ISPR, boxing legend Aamir Khan and martial arts champion Shahzeb Rind also met Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters. The Army Chief appreciated their outstanding achievements in the field of sports.

During the meeting, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir also expressed full confidence in the outstanding abilities of Pakistan’s youth.

It should be noted that boxer Aamir Khan is a former world champion while Shahzeb Rind recently defeated an Indian fighter in a mixed martial arts competition.
