Brazilian Superman’s social media frenzy

Brasilia: A citizen in Brazil has gone viral on social media due to his resemblance to Superman movie hero Clark Kent.

According to media news, a 36-year-old citizen named Leonardo Mailart came to Brasilia for a vacation with his girlfriend, and at the same time, a stranger recorded his photos and videos and posted them on social media.

Leonardo is a human rights lawyer by profession. Leonardo was attending the Comic-Con convention in Sao Paulo when a stranger was struck by his striking resemblance to his Superman movie character Clark Kent (real name Christopher Reeve).

The citizen secretly took videos and pictures from his mobile phone, after which Leonardo watched and went viral on social media. One user commented, asking, ‘Am I really seeing Clark Kent?’ I can’t believe my eyes.

Leonardo was not aware of his fame on social media as he did not have a social media account till then. However, weeks later he learned through his friends that he had become an online celebrity and was being dubbed the “Brazilian Superman”.
