Currently Pakistan squad for Ireland and England series likely to be announced, sources

The Pakistan squad is currently likely to be announced only for the series against Ireland and England.

Sources said that the Pakistan team for the World Cup is likely to be announced in mid-May.

The Pakistan team for the mega event can be announced after the Ireland series.

The May 1st deadline is for the preliminary list only, the final squad can be announced by May 25th.

It should be noted that the PCB announced the team for the 2023 World Cup after the initial deadline.

Sources said that the national selectors will announce the team for the series against Ireland and England in the next couple of days.

It should be noted that Pakistan has to play 3 T20 matches in Ireland and 4 in England.

Sources said that the national selectors are waiting for the fitness reports of Haris Rauf, Azam Khan, Irfan Niazi and Mohammad Rizwan.

The squad for the bilateral series will be announced in consultation with Gary Kirsten.
