Due to the torrential rain, the world’s busiest air hub, Dubai International Airport, also accumulated rainwater, due to which the flights arriving at Dubai Airport had to be diverted yesterday. Operations at the airport have been restored after an extraordinary suspension of 25 minutes.

There is also rain water on many parts of Sheikh Zayed Road, the main highway of Dubai, due to which the flow of traffic is affected.

Roads have become ponds in different states of the UAE, rain water has entered houses and residential buildings, there is also rain water in big shopping malls and metro stations, the videos of which are viral on social media.

In videos that have gone viral on various social media, it can be seen that key infrastructure of the city, including major shopping centers like Dubai Mall and Mall of Emirates, have been flooded, while the Dubai Metro station is ankle-deep in water. Roads collapsed, residential communities flooded.
