Islamabad: Some believe that foreign direct investment plays a significant role in the development and prosperity of a country.

On April 23, domestic newspapers reported that foreign direct investment increased by 52 percent, with foreign direct investment increasing by 51.7 percent in March to 258 million, up from 170 million during the same month last year. However, during the first nine months of the current financial year, total foreign direct investment decreased by 10% to $1.09 billion.

It is worth noting that foreign direct investment fluctuates and does not follow a clear and straight pattern, it is not a panacea for a country’s economy. may start prioritizing others over the country, so it is not a sustainable solution to the problems, rather it creates confusion, it does not benefit in the long run.

In fact it does not even help the development of the economy, the way out of the problems is for the government not to run after other countries or their institutions or their companies but let the people work.
