Foreign Minister’s directive to complete the outsourcing of Karachi and Lahore Airports within the stipulated time

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar directed to complete the outsourcing of Lahore and Karachi Airports within the stipulated time.

According to the spokesperson Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a review meeting was held on airport outsourcing efforts through overseas missions, which was followed by the 9th meeting of the Steering Committee on Outsourcing of Airports.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held an online meeting with Heads of Missions and Ambassadors.

The Foreign Minister directed to complete the outsourcing of Lahore and Karachi Airports within the stipulated period.

Secretary Aviation and DGCAA reviewed the progress in this regard.

CAA spokesperson said that Turkey, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait expressed interest in Islamabad International Airport.

He said that operators from Paris, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and Switzerland also showed interest in Islamabad Airport.

According to the CAA spokesperson, the confidence and interest of foreign investors is a reflection of political and economic stability in Pakistan.

The spokesperson also said that the meeting emphasized on providing service delivery to passengers as per the benchmarks at the airports.

The foreign minister emphasized on promoting economic diplomacy, trade and investment efforts.
