Four players from Pakistan made it to the quarter finals

Pakistan and Hong Kong squash players in action.

Four players from Pakistan qualified for the quarter-finals of the Chief of Naval Staff International Squash Championship, Nasir Iqbal upset England’s five-seeded player on the second day as well.

Pakistani players won the second day of the ongoing championship at Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex.

Nasir Iqbal, who received a wild card entry into the event, caused another upset on the second day, defeating England’s fifth seed Pere Malik 13-15, 8-11, 8-11.

Top seed Asim Khan defeated Malaysian player Ong Sai Hong 5-11, 9-11 and 5-11.

Pakistan’s No. 2 seed Taib Aslam beat Hong Kong’s Wang Chi Hum, Pakistan’s Noor Zaman defeated the Japanese player 1-3 sets to enter the quarterfinals.

Hong Kong’s Matthew Lai, Egypt’s Muhammad Zakaria, Malaysia’s Shafiq Kamal also won their matches and made it to the quarterfinals. The quarter finals will be played tomorrow.

In the women’s event, Anam Mustafa Rusna, Mehboob Sameera Shahid and Mehwish Ali qualified for the semi-finals.
