Government of Sindh has introduced automatic fare collection system in People’s Bus service

Karachi: Government of Sindh has introduced automatic fare collection system in People’s Bus service in collaboration with JS Bank’s fintech app ‘Zindah’ ​​and MasterCard.

This innovative digital payment system aims to bring public transport in Pakistan’s largest city to international standards. This is a significant milestone for Karachi’s transit system.

Under this system, more than one million Zindagi MasterCard travel cards will be distributed initially through which existing Zindi card users will be able to avail cashless travel facilities.

These cards are designed to seamlessly transition passengers from cash-based transactions to digital transactions that will reduce waiting times and facilitate fare payments on the city’s bus networks.

Chief Life Officer Nauman Azhar said in this regard that playing a role in the progressive initiatives of the Sindh government is certainly impressive. Zinda wants to make people’s lives easier by providing simple solutions to their needs.

He said that we provide banking services in unconventional ways, and we are committed to transform the entire journey from start to finish by creating a positive impact in the society. This is the first open loop transport card of its kind in Pakistan. Customers will have access to the entire banking system that they will use in the buses for travel.

These cards can be obtained from any booth in the designated routes, apart from this, these cards can also be obtained by downloading the Zindagi app and ordering the Sindh Mass Transit Card. Apart from this, existing Zindagi Debit Card users will be able to use their cards in buses.

In this regard, Sindh Government Spokesperson said that People’s Bus Service is once again in the forefront of making history, and the automatic fare collection system is being introduced today, which is Pakistan’s first automatic fare collection system in a mixed traffic bus. Will be.
