Intense heat in Punjab and Sindh, chances of heat wave in plains

The heat wave continues in Punjab and Sindh, while the plains are likely to be affected by the heat wave.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, there is a possibility of 5 degree rise in day temperature in Punjab till May 10 and plain areas especially are likely to be affected by heat wave.

Chances of dusty winds, thundershowers and rain have also been shown in most of the districts of the province from May 10 to 12. According to the spokesman, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the districts of South Punjab on May 10 and 11. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, the administration has been alerted.

On the other hand, Karachi may also record hot and humid weather today. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the city may exceed 37 degrees. This morning, the minimum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees centigrade with an increase of one degree.

On Thursday, the humidity ratio in the morning in Karachi was 75 percent. Due to the increase in the humidity ratio, late night stiffness and fatigue were felt. The hot and humid weather in the city may persist for the next few days. There is no chance of a heat wave during a partial heat wave.

It should be noted that last day Karachi recorded 1.1 degree heat higher than the average temperature of May.
