Islamabad High Court judges are not suggestions but charge sheets, Justice Athar Minullah

Islamabad: The Chief Justice of Pakistan has said in the judges’ letter case that pushing the judiciary on its own path is also interference.

A six-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa heard the letter of the six judges.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan explained that the three-member committee decided to form a bench consisting of all available judges, Justice Yahya Afridi separated from the bench, two judges are not available for the full court.

The Chief Justice remarked that there is a lot of division in the country, pulling us to one side or the other is against the independence of the judiciary, don’t pressure us to run on our own path, pushing the judiciary on our own path is also interference. The Attorney General replied that I have not read the proposals.

Justice Athar Minullah said that these are not suggestions but charge sheets. The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that these proposals are open.

At the behest of the Chief Justice, the Attorney General read the recommendations in the courtroom, which said that while the Supreme Court’s automatic notices order is commendable, the executive and agencies should take into account the division of powers, any division among judges. No, there is an impression on social media and media that judges are divided, there is a need to remove the impression of division of judges, there is a need to amend the code of conduct of the judges of the High Court and District Court, the members of the agencies along with the judges. A complete ban should be imposed on the meetings of judges, if there has been any interference with a judge, he should inform immediately, a permanent cell should be established in the Supreme and High Courts for the complaints of judges, decisions should be issued on complaints immediately according to the law.
