Lahore; Negotiations between district administration and tandoor owners successful, strike postponed

Lahore: After the success of negotiations between the district administration and tandoor owners, the tandoor owners postponed the strike.

According to sources, 15,000 tandoor owners across the city have postponed today’s strike after successful negotiations with the district administration.

Tandoor owners put the demand of flour subsidy before the negotiation team and said that a 20 kg bag of flour should be given at Rs 1700.

The negotiation team said that they will place the demand of the tandoor owners before the Punjab government.

Tandoor owners have claimed that the district administration has agreed after which roti will be sold at Rs 16 and naan at Rs 25, however, the district administration says that roti will be sold at Rs 16 and naan at Rs 20.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider has warned that strict action will be taken against those who sell bread and naan at excessive prices, while Waheed Abbasi, Senior Vice President of Nonbuyer Association, has said to give time to the district administration to approve the demands. is given
