Match against Japan tied, Pakistan still unbeaten

The match between Pakistan and Japan in the ongoing 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup in Malaysia ended in a 1-1 draw after a thrilling encounter. Pakistan scored a penalty corner in the last minute of the fourth quarter to draw the match.

In their third match of the ongoing Azlan Shah Hockey Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia, Pakistan was facing a one-goal deficit until the 59th minute of the match, which was scored by Ken Naga Yoshi in the 33rd minute of the game.

On behalf of Pakistan, Rana Waheed Ashraf scored from a penalty corner in the last minute of the game to end Japan’s lead and tie the match 1-1.

Teams Pakistan and Japan have 7 and 7 points, however due to better goal average, Pakistan is first and Japan is second.

Pakistan will play the fourth match of their pool against Canada tomorrow at 1:00 pm Pakistan time.
