National Assembly: Jamshed Dasti and Iqbal Khan banned from entering the House

Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq banned Jamshed Dasti and Iqbal Khan from entering the House for using unparliamentary and immoral language. They also demanded ban on Kadir Patel and Rafiullah.

According to Express News, the meeting of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. Immoral language was used in the House, on which the government members presented a motion to suspend the attendance of Jamshed Dasti and Iqbal Khan in the House, which was approved by majority vote.

The Speaker slapped Jasmid Dasti Iqbal Khan on entering the House in this session and said that both of them used unparliamentary and unethical language, Members of the Assembly violated Rules 30.

After the ban, the two members will not be able to come to the House during the current session. Later, the National Assembly meeting was adjourned till 5 pm on Monday.

After this decision, the opposition members met the Speaker of the National Assembly, the opposition leadership registered a protest against the suspension with the presence of two of its members.

The opposition members were of the view that misbehavior was initiated by the government members, restore the attendance of our members or suspend Qadir Patel and Rafiullah as well, Mr. Speaker, you have taken incomplete action which is not acceptable.

The Speaker asked the opposition members for time to review the matter. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq assured to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter.

Meanwhile, Minister of Information Atta Tarar while speaking in the National Assembly said that what happened yesterday in this House has not happened before, in the past there was a token protest during the presidential address, but here it happened in the presence of foreign ambassadors. This has never happened in parliamentary history.

Independent members of PTI protested during Atta Tarar’s speech. Continuing his speech, Atta Tarar said that a party member protests, the party shows indifference to him, it has always been his habit to change statements, sometimes absolutely not, sometimes they talk about overthrowing the government with cipher, then Adiala. The order comes from friends, speak against the country, then take back the statement.
