People are disappointed with the political leadership

National politics is full of uncertainty and this uncertainty is increasing with each passing day. Despite the dissolution of the Assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Imran Khan could not immediately pave the way for general elections in the country. In both the provinces they had their government which they themselves broke as a weapon of pressure but the PDM government did not come under their pressure. General elections in the country do not seem to be taking place even in the provinces where the assemblies have been dissolved.

All the political decisions taken by Imran Khan so far proved to be wrong and they failed to achieve the desired results as if he is a useless captain from a political point of view. Even his four-year-old performance was not good. Inflation continued to rise during his tenure. Relations with friendly countries deteriorated. The debt burden increased. Governance has not been good. The media and constitutional institutions were under pressure. His popularity graph was falling rapidly. If he had completed five years, his politics would have ended in a natural way, but PDM took over the government and took all his burden on his shoulders. It has been ten months since the PDM government was established.

There has been so much record inflation during his tenure that all the records of Imran Khan’s tenure have been broken. As a result of negotiations with the IMF, the current government presented a mini-budget which has been approved by the National Assembly. As a result of this mini-budget, additional taxes of 170 billion rupees have been levied. The prices of petrol, electricity and gas have been increased. Although the present government does not tire of saying again and again that the agreement with the IMF was made by the PTI government and we have restored this agreement to save the country from default, but It cannot be denied that the conditions on which this restoration has been carried out have broken the public’s back. The purchasing power of the common man has gone. It has become difficult for the middle class to live.

PDM people used to taunt Imran Khan for bringing the dollar to 190 rupees, but now they are silent. In these circumstances, if general elections are held, despite all the failures, Imran Khan’s chances of success are high. Because people are now angry with PDM parties due to inflation. The PDM government needs time to bring economic stability and provide relief to the people. That is why the PDM government wants to postpone the general elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The time is being passed by various pretexts so that the ninety days expire. Imran Khan is now regretting that the governments of Punjab and KP also got out of hand and elections are not seen. The last card Abab had was that of President Dr. Arif Alvi, which he used. The President wrote a letter to the Election Commission. He expressed his displeasure on not getting a reply and called the Chief Election Commissioner for consultation. After that, the President also announced the date of the elections.

Undoubtedly, the President has a constitutional position, but the Election Commission is also a constitutional body. Can give date.

According to the constitution, the power to dissolve the provincial assembly and the power to set the date of the election rests with the respective provincial governor. In this way, the President’s card played by Imran Khan did not work for him either. It seems that the issue of general elections will finally be decided by going to court. Imran Khan also took a wrong and emotional decision to leave the National Assembly on April 10, 2022 after the no-confidence motion failed and lost an important cross-border front.

If he were in the National Assembly today, the government would not have been able to pass the supplementary budget so easily. At least PTI could have exercised its right to public representation by protesting. Similarly, for the amendments in the NAB Act, Imran Khan himself gave a walk-over to the government, which the Supreme Court has also done during the hearing of the petition against the NAB Amendment Act. When the Speaker accepted the resignations of 70 PTI members, the remaining 43 members were ready to go to the Assembly, but the Speaker also accepted their resignations. Now Imran Khan is realizing that the opposition leader has an important role in the appointment of caretaker prime minister. The post of Chairman PAC is important. But what would you regret now when the birds have gone to the field?

Now the Deputy Speaker has issued notices to evict PTI from Parliament Lodges. The locks of some members were broken. The current government’s policy is to make no concessions to the PTI. The most difficult political period of Imran Khan is about to begin. Now they also don’t have to go through the stage of arrest and jail. It is also very interesting that Imran Khan is asking the workers to start a jail-wide movement, but even if the arrest is in vain, he gives the workers a call to reach Zaman Park. So far, Shahbaz Gul, Azam Swati, Fawad and Sheikh Rasheed have visited jail, but now many leaders will go to jail besides Imran Khan.

Imran Khan has now reached the closed street. His narrative of the imported government has also died, which he has strangled with his own hands. He made a cipher statement and accused the US of overthrowing his government and later explained to the US leadership. Now the US has withdrawn the blame for overthrowing the government and put the entire burden on General (R) Bajwa. All his narratives have proved futile. Now he can get political benefit from only one issue, that is inflation. People are fed up with inflation but it does not mean that they see salvation in the form of Imran Khan.

The nation has come to Imran Khan. He proved to be a failed prime minister, now why will anyone give him another chance, but the people are definitely disappointed with the political leadership of the country. At present, the country’s economy is weak. The issue of terrorism has raised its head again. The terrorist attack on the police office in Karachi after the police lines of Peshawar clearly shows that the TTP has now been organized twice. At this time, the first priority should be to end terrorism because without it foreign capital investment cannot come. In order to stabilize the economy, drastic decisions should be taken to privatize loss-making institutions, downsizing and reducing unnecessary expenses. The issue at this time is not when the elections will be held or who will win. The issue is to save the state which is not a matter of a single political party or alliance.
