Prices of 22 commodities rose last week, the Bureau of Statistics said

Islamabad: After Ramadan, the rate of inflation in the country has decreased slightly by 0.79 percent, while the annual inflation was recorded at 28.56 percent.

According to the report of the Institute of Statistics, the prices of 22 goods increased while the prices of 11 goods decreased last week.

Last week, potato rose by an average of Rs 12 to Rs 78 per kg, tomatoes rose by an average of Rs 13 to Rs 117 per kg, while live broiler chickens rose by Rs 54 to Rs 516 per kg.

Similarly, garlic, meat, dal mash, mung dal, gram dal, dry milk, rice, sugar and petroleum products also became expensive.

In contrast, a 20 kg bag of flour fell by Rs 130 to Rs 2323, while a domestic LPG cylinder fell by Rs 95 to Rs 3254. Last week, eggs fell by Rs 19 to Rs 257 per dozen.
