Prime Minister’s announcement to implement educational emergency in the country

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced the implementation of educational emergency for the promotion of education in the country.

Addressing the National Conference on Education on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that no nation can develop without education, the Pakistani nation has the ability to overcome any challenge with determination and courage. He said that there are 26 million out of school boys and girls in our country who will be enrolled in schools, the provision of financial resources for the promotion of education is the biggest problem but when the determination is strong, the challenges are overcome. can go.

He said that between 2008 and 2018, we took massive measures for the development of the education sector in Punjab, along with ensuring the provision of high-quality education to poor students in Danish schools.

The Prime Minister said that the challenge of providing education to out-of-school children is difficult but not impossible. For this I will also meet the four provincial chief ministers.

Addressing the conference, Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that the education sector requires immediate attention, 2.6 million children are out of schools, it is a concern that such a large number of children are out of school. It’s a thing.

Addressing the conference, the representative of UNICEF in Pakistan, Abdullah A. Fazil, said that it is satisfactory to focus on the important sector of education by the prime minister. The share of education in GDP is very low. There is a need to invest more in the education sector.

Addressing the conference, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott said that it is our common responsibility to provide education to children who do not go to school in Pakistan. The number of out-of-school children is increasing worldwide.

He said that the enrollment rate of children in schools should be increased through immediate measures. Britain will fully support Pakistan for the development of the education sector. The achievement of the 2030 global goals related to education should be ensured.
