Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor’s new film ‘Ramayan’ is facing a legal battle.

According to Indian media sources, the filmmakers have an intellectual property rights issue over the title of ‘Project Ramayan’.

The rights were initially acquired by Allo Mantina Media Ventures and the talks to acquire the rights of the title by the filmmakers started in April 2024 but were not successful.

No details on the delay of the film due to the legal battle have been revealed yet, but it is likely.

It should be noted that the shooting of ‘Ramayan’ has already started and some pictures of Ranbir Kapoor’s character were also viral from the sets.
