The details of the assets of the first phase candidates have come out

More than 2,700 political parties are fielding their candidates in the elections that begin today in rival neighboring India.

In the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 21 states of India will witness an electoral frenzy.

According to Indian media, the Association for Democratic Reforms has reviewed the assets of political leaders participating in the first phase.

Asset details of 1,618 of the 1,625 candidates who contested the election have been revealed, according to which 10 of these candidates do not own any property.

According to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms, the richest Lok Sabha candidate based on declared assets is Nikol Nath of the Congress, who owns Rs 716 crore in financial assets. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s son Nikol Nath has been elected MP from Chindwara in Madhya Pradesh in 2019.

On the other hand, according to the above report, in the light of the declared assets, the candidate participating in the elections from Thoothukudi region of Tamil Nadu, Poonraj is the poorest independent candidate in this list with a total worth of only 320 crore Indian rupees.

Apart from this, Ashok Kumar, associated with the political party AIADMK, has declared his assets worth Rs 662 crore. The AIADMK leader is contesting from Erode in Tamil Nadu in the elections starting today.

BJP’s Devanathan Yadav, who is contesting from Sivaganga constituency in Tamil Nadu, is third in the list with assets worth Rs 304 crore.

According to the report of the Association for Democratic Reforms, 28 percent of the candidates participating in the first phase are millionaires whose assets are worth crores.
