An oil tanker caught fire at a petrol pump in Islamabad’s Blue Area, after several hours of struggle, the fire was brought under control.
According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, 11 fire brigade vehicles took part in the extinguishing process, the help of Pakistan Navy was also taken.
The Deputy Commissioner says that it was difficult to extinguish the fire due to the presence of petrol in the tanker.
Irfan Nawaz Memon further says that the tanker that came for refilling caught fire, the cause of the fire could not be known.

DC Islamabad has formed a committee to determine the causes of the fire.
According to the notification, the 6-member committee will be headed by the Assistant Commissioner City, the committee will submit a report in 3 days.
